Mums, You Are Not Alone, Ameelia’s Got Your Back!

Ameelia is a Blackpool mum of five who navigates life from many different angles to keep the family wheel running. She became mum for the first time 10 years ago. Since then, she started a little Facebook group that has now over 20k parents. "I originally created it to give local mums and families somewhere to ask questions, find recommendations, connect with other parents and discover support without feeling judged." she says. But that is the tip of the iceberg, she also has her page Ameelia Unfiltered, where she shares her personal life and showing people that real mum life without the TV glam. She adds, "Ameelia Unfiltered is my more personal page, where I share honest family life, motherhood, relationships, mental health, household chaos and the realities of raising a large family."

Over the years, Ameelia's community has become somewhere parents turn for more than just recommendations. "A big part of what I do is helping local families find trustworthy organisations, services and businesses they may not otherwise know exist," she explains. Whether it's a question about school shoes, a wobble about money, or just needing to hear that someone else's house is equally chaotic at half past seven on a Tuesday, Blackpool Mums & Babies has quietly become a lifeline for thousands of local families.

It's that same instinct, connecting families with the right support at the right moment, that brought Ameelia and CLEVR Money together.

For Ameelia, it comes back to the same reason she started her page in the first place, so many parents are quietly struggling with things nobody talks about openly. "I get messages all the time from parents asking where they can turn for help, with money, with school costs, with the summer holidays," she says. "It's not that people aren't coping, it's that they don't always know what support is actually out there for them."

Ameelia's honesty about the messier, unfiltered side of family life is exactly why this feels like the right partnership. Money worries are one of those things so many parents carry quietly, often too embarrassed to ask where to turn. Having a trusted local voice like Ameelia say "it's okay to ask for help, and here's somewhere local that genuinely wants to give it" makes all the difference.
