All About the Workplace Savings Scheme
Unlike many of the financial institutions that people use on a day-to-day basis, CLEVR Money is a not-for-profit organisation. Rather than simply bringing in as much money as possible for faceless shareholders, we concentrate on making a difference in the lives of our members and the local communities of which we are a part. Our workplace savings scheme is a typical example of this approach, making it easy for people to save on a regular basis and improve their financial health, by teaming up with local employers.
The CLEVR Money workplace savings scheme is available to anyone working for one of more than 60 employers and public sector organisations across Blackpool, Fylde, Wyre, Preston and Lancaster. Like everything we do for our members, the workplace savings scheme has been designed to be as simple and stress-free as possible.
Any employee of one of our Payroll Partners can become a CLEVR Money member by opening a savings account with a set amount to be taken each payday. We know from experience that even a small amount put aside on a regular basis can soon build up to become a useful sum of money, offering peace of mind and a sense of financial security.
From the employer’s point of view the workplace savings scheme is equally simple. We liaise with the payroll department to set up a regular deduction and, once the money is paid into the CLEVR Money bank account, the employer’s time commitment has ended.
The advantages to partnership members are clear – they can build up savings to help out in emergencies or fund expenses such as a wedding, holiday or home improvements.
In addition to the workplace savings scheme, members also get access to our low interest, flexible loans which can be repaid via payroll deduction, ensuring they never miss a payment. Whether it’s some ready cash to cover new school uniforms or a larger loan to help replace an ageing vehicle, our loan interest rates are capped to ensure they are fair.

Answer a few simple questions online and select the relevant employer from the drop-down menu, and the membership process is complete.
