Contribution made by co-operatives across the world are being highlighted to raise awareness of the importance of their achievements to their communities.

International Day of Cooperatives

The International Co-operative Alliance (ICA) was formed over 100 years ago. in 1992, the observance day is made official by the UN. The purpose of it is raising awareness for the importance of the co-operative and it functions.


Co-operatives are usually not-for-profit businesses, just like CLEVR Money. They are owned and run by and for their members to provide their services to their members and beyond. Those services fulfill an economical, social or cultural needs, or even an aspiration.


The sizes may differ from small to scale to multi-million, employing over 100 million people and have over 800 million members around the word!
