All members of the credit union must have a Membership Account. By opening a Membership Account you gain access to all of the benefits of saving with the credit union. So whether you’re a regular saver, an occasional saver or even looking to save through payroll deduction, save with CLEVR Money and keep our money working for us in the community.

Applying for membership with CLEVR Money is easy, just follow these simple steps:

Please note that a deposit of £5.00 via debit card is required before your account can be opened, if you are not saving via payroll deduction.

 

Summary

  • Membership of CLEVR Money is open to anyone covered by the common bond stated in the Rules of the Credit Union available on our web site or from the office on request.
  • To open a membership account you must be 18 years of age or over.
  • A minimum of £5 must be maintained in your membership account at all times.
  • Savings into your membership accounts may be made by payroll deductions, cheque, debit card, direct debit, standing order, bank transfer or direct benefits payment.
  • Cheques must be made payable to Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre Credit Union and have your membership number on the reverse.
  • Savings made by direct debit may take between 3/5 working days to reach the Credit Union and be credited to your account.
  • Cheques credited to a members account may take up to 10 working days before funds are cleared and you are able to draw down money deposited in this way.
  • Savings through payroll deductions will be credited to your account on the date that the funds are received from your employer.
  • You can change your regular savings amount in branch or by contacting the office.
