Help! I don’t know what to do!

ask for CLEVR Money help

How many emails to our office start with that line?

A lot.

In fact, HELP is possibly the most commonly used word in correspondence with our loans team.

Hi, I wonder if you can help me?

Hello, is there anything you can do to help?

Good afternoon, I’m told you might be able to help?

Help help help !

Happily that is exactly what we’re here for, so our answer is usually something along the lines of: Yes sure, tell me more.

Getting help with your finances is not always the easiest thing to ask for let’s face it.

For some people it is merely a polite request, but for others it is an anguished cry.

We exist to help both.

That’s people who just need a loan to pay for a large or unexpected expense, like a new car, home improvements of a holiday, like any lender.

But we’re also here for those who have got themselves into bad debt they can’t deal with, and are desperate for a way out. People who have tried banks, credit cards only to be turned away, but who are welcomed with open arms by payday lenders and loan sharks. People who really do need our help.

It can be so easy to fall into bad debt.

That 0% credit card which looked too good to be true. Yeah, one missed payment and the 0% disappears, only to be replaced with a sky high interest rate which sees the debt actually start to increase.

That store card or Buy Now Pay later deal which just took one click and seemed so helpful at the time. Well a couple of forgotten repayments and the penalties can be fierce.

Or that pay day loan for only £300 which is now eating up your entire monthly salary forcing you to take another one out every single month, because of the interest and penalties…

However you got there, when you need help, you need help.

Knowing where to turn can be half of the battle. Who does actually offer real help these days? Isn’t there always a catch? Something in the small print…?

Well no, not with CLEVR Money. We're an ethical not-for-profit lender, set up to help people in our community to avoid bad debt.

We are, quite literally, the place to come when you’re asking that question about money matters and debt.
